Investing in nature. Building lasting enterprise.

We are building a Tanzanian company where ecosystem restoration, sustainable enterprise and investment work together. Our early work in coastal carbon is the starting point for a wider portfolio.

A wider horizon

Our ambition reaches beyond carbon: to grow a portfolio of conservation enterprises and nature-based investments, on land and at sea. Sustainable marine businesses, environmental technology and restoration offer room to grow as opportunities are tested and partnerships take shape.

Explore our long-term direction

Most mangrove carbon is in the mud, not the trees.

Tidal flooding starves mangrove soils of oxygen, so leaf litter and roots decompose slowly and the carbon builds up underground over centuries. That is what makes a well-governed mangrove forest a durable carbon asset, and why losing one releases far more than its trees suggest.

In a study of 25 Indo-Pacific mangrove forests, soils held 49-98% of ecosystem carbon. Donato et al., 2011, Nature Geoscience

Our first projects

Our portfolio begins on Tanzania's coast: Kaboni Yetu is in carbon-project readiness, while Kunduchi Eco Park is in early feasibility. These projects are the foundation for a broader nature-based business.
